OUR MISSION
With our new wood, Pyrus™, we aim to help end the 2.1 billion tons of CO2 emissions from rainforest degradation and safeguard the third of tree species at risk of extinction.
We use bacterial nanocellulose, which is very similar to the cellulose essential to tree-derived wood. It can be gathered as waste from kombucha breweries, or generated from other types of organic waste.

Breweries
Our suppliers in the kombucha industry often refer to bacterial nanocellulose as SCOBY, or symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast.
